Skulduggery of the week: Easy on The Eyes

At 5:02 p.m. on March 31, three shoplifters stole four pairs of sunglasses, with a combined value of $1,525, from Jimmy Choo at Highland Park Village. The thefts weren’t spotted until an inventory check when the store closed that night, followed by a review of surveillance footage. A woman in the video returned to the store the following day, and admitted she was there with two men during the time of the theft, but denied buying or stealing anything. She was given a criminal trespass warning.

HIGHLAND PARK

30 MONDAY
Between March 23 and March 30, a vandal shattered a window in a detached back house in the 4500 block of Lorraine Avenue. The homeowner found a pellet and shards of glass in a stairwell. Multiple squirrels were shot with a pellet gun on the same property last fall.

Between 1 and 6 p.m., a thief stole a Louis Vuitton wallet containing $107 in cash from a cabinet inside an office in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive.

31 TUESDAY
At 12:15 a.m., Dana Garcia, 19, of Grapevine was arrested in the4600 block of Lakeside Drive on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., a thief stole a package from the porch of an apartment in the 3500 block of Normandy Avenue. The package contained a $32 Ralph Lauren riding top.

1 WEDNESDAY
At 6:10 p.m., a shoplifter stole a $550 skirt from Leggiadro atHighland Park Village. A review of surveillance footage found that a woman tried on the skirt in a changing room, then walked out of the store without paying.

2 THURSDAY
At 4:50 a.m., Jeffrey Robert Garinger, 23, of Dallas was arrested in the 5400 block of Preston Road on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

At 1:15 p.m., Joshua D. Harper, 23, of Dallas was arrested atHighland Park Village on a charge of possession of marijuana.

3 FRIDAY
At 8:34 p.m., Michael Jullian Cruz-Loftus, 18, of Dallas was arrested in the 5400 block of Lomo Alto Drive on a public intoxication charge.

4 SATURDAY
At 3:16 a.m., Carlos Borromeo Ramos, 22, and Juan Carlos Gomez, 24, of Plano were each arrested in the 5400 block of Fairfield Avenue on a public intoxication charge.

5 SUNDAY
At 2 a.m., Rodrigo Maldonado de Jesus, 37, of Denton was arrested at the intersection of Preston Road and Livingston Avenue on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

UNIVERSITY PARK

30 MONDAY
At 12:45 p.m., Zachary Wall, 41, of Carrollton was arrested in the7100 block of Preston Road on a public intoxication charge.

At 4:40 p.m., someone reported the weekend theft of a $200 purse, a $200 cell phone, and $350 in cash from an unlocked silver 2013 Jeep Wrangler in the 3800 block of Colgate Avenue.

31 TUESDAY
Between 4 and 10:18 p.m., a vandal used a blunt object to damage a gray 2004 Chevrolet Caprice at The Plaza at Preston Center.

1 WEDNESDAY
At 2:31 p.m., a resident of the 3100 block of Rosedale Avenuereported the theft of $700 worth of Ping and Callaway golf clubs and a $15 auxiliary cord from an unlocked gray 2009 Toyota Highlander on March 26.

2 THURSDAY
Between 9 p.m. on March 31 and 6 p.m. on April 2, a thief stole a $350 BOB stroller from a porch in the 4400 block of Emerson Avenue.

Between 7:30 and 8:50 p.m., a burglar broke into a black 2004 Cadillac Deville in the 6000 block of Preston Road and stole an $800 Saddleback briefcase.

5 SUNDAY
At 1:12 a.m., Brooke Stubblefield, 19, of Garland was arrested in the 3700 block of Granada Avenue on a charge of consumption of alcohol by a minor.
