Imbroglio Sextet Coming to Meadows Museum
An international music group featuring a Texas native is coming to Dallas to perform at the Meadows Museum.
The Imbroglio Sextet will perform on April 4 at 7:00 p.m.
Cara Pollard, a trumpeter and adjunct professor at TCU, teamed up with Haitian-American composer Sydney Guillaume to form the Imbroglio Sextet in 2013. They are joined by Salvador Contreras, David Otto, Katie von Braun, Lucia Nuin, and Javier Navascues.
Imbroglio means in many languages “a complicated situation that turns into something amazing.” The group said they chose this as their name based on meeting while teaching at a school in Haiti.
The group toured in Spain and Britain last September and will perform in the U.S. this spring.
