Get Funky at HPHS Midwinter Jazz Concert
If you’re in a bit of a funky mood — and we mean that in a good way — head to the Highland Park High School cafeteria tonight for the midwinter concert of the HP Jazz Band.
The show called “We Want the Funk” will feature a variety of selections from Tower of Power, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea, and Justin Timberlake, among others.
The free show begins at 7 p.m., and if you want to show up in 1970s attire just to get in the spirit of things, we won’t judge.
