The Meadows Museum at SMU is renowned for its collection of Spanish art, so it’s appropriate that the museum will host a free symposium dedicated to the work of Francisco Goya on Saturday.

The “Curating Goya” event will feature discussions led by an international panel of experts about how different approaches to exhibiting Goya’s work invite various methods of understanding his paintings.

The symposium will be held in conjunction with the ongoing exhibition “Goya: A Lifetime of Graphic Invention.” The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Smith Auditorium, with a scheduled lunch break and a reception to follow. For more information, call 214-768-4993.
