Young Polo Player Trying to Grow Sport

As a high school sophomore, Vaughn Miller of Highland Park is already one of the most accomplished learned polo players in the country in his age group.

But Miller received a special opportunity during a match in Wellington, Fla., when he participated in a mentoring, skills, and drills session as part of Team USPA.

Miller was the youngest player invited to the event, which was part of a grassroots effort to grow the sport at the high school level. Miller competes regularly as part of the Prestonwood Interscholastic Polo team, which will try to defend its Central Regional Championship title in February.
