Kleinman Appointed to Transport Committee
Our own city councilman Lee Kleinman has been appointed to the National League of Cities’ 2015 Transportation Infrastructure and Services Steering Committee.
That’s a mouthful, but apparently, it’s a committee that develops federal policy positions on transportation issues including but not limited to: planning, funding, safety and security of public transit, streets and highways, aviation, railroads and ports. Whew.
Kleinman will help the committee prepare policy to present before Congress on behalf of towns and cities across the country.
Kleinman, a St. Mark’s graduate, served on the city’s park and recreation board before becoming a councilman in 2013.
