Ursuline Alum Spends Term in Dominican
Ursuline alumna Camille Mavelian is among a group of students from Austin College who will spend the January term in the Dominican Republic, at Iberoamerican University in the capital city of Santo Domingo.
Mavelian and her classmates will live with host families and immerse themselves in the culture, including food and music. They’ll also visit the country’s botanical garden and business district, along with many other sites that have Spanish names such as Punta Cana and Boca de Yuma.
Mavelian is a junior soccer player for the Roos who started all 21 games during the fall season and scored two goals.
