ESD Sophomore Reels In Another Film Honor
ESD sophomore Cal Etcheverry has been chosen to screen his short film Everyday next month at the Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose, Calif.
Etcheverry, who lives in University Park, is no stranger to film festivals, having traveled to New York in October to show three of his films at the All-American High School Film Festival.
“This is a huge accomplishment for our program,” said ESD film teacher Bobby Weiss said on the school’s website. “Cal’s efforts to submit to film festivals has put him in a great position to win a lot of scholarships in the future. I am so glad to see that he has made such great leaps in his film career and is now getting recognition for all of his hard work. I am very proud of him and his partners who worked on the films with him.”
