Rainbow Days Brings Christmas to Homeless Kids
Christmas will come early on Saturday for more than 500 homeless children and their parents through the annual Rainbow Days holiday party at St. Monica Catholic Church.
The event is aimed at families in emergency homeless and domestic-violence shelters, as well as transitional living centers. It will provide kids with carnival games, a visit from Santa, Christmas presents, arts and crafts, refreshments, and a Christmas movie.
It is hosted by Rainbow Days’ Family Connection Program, a nonprofit group that runs programs for homeless children ages 4-12 in the Dallas area. The program serves more than 11,000 youngsters annually.
