Scot Classic Hoops Tourney Starts Today
The annual Scot Classic basketball tournament is still going strong after 51 years, and this year’s event will tip-off today with a field of six boys teams and six girls teams.
Highland Park will be joined in the boys field by Lake Highlands, Midlothian, Trinity Christian, Ennis, and Austin SFA. On the girls side, HP will compete for the title alongside Trinity Christian, Woodrow Wilson, Wylie East, W.T. White, and Corsicana.
The Scots (0-1) fell to South Oak Cliff by a 79-69 score in their season opener on Tuesday. The Lady Scots (0-2) opened the season with road losses to Rockwall and Rockwall-Heath.
