Is It Easy Being ‘Green’ With Real Estate?
The North Dallas Chamber of Commerce will hold a symposium about investing in green real estate on Thursday at the Collins Executive Education Center at SMU.
The topics will include return on investment for real-estate companies and consumers when it comes to issues of sustainability, and whether “green” real estate is a profitable long-term option.
The panelists will include Bill Brown, chief investment officer at Granite Properties; Jeff Ellerman, vice chairman at CBRE Brokerage Services Group; Tom Woliver, director of planning and development at Hillwood Communities; and Rudy Pospisil, division president at Plantation Homes. The moderator will be Betsy del Monte from SMU’s Lyle School of Engineering.
Registration opens at 4 p.m., with the event starting at 5:15. A networking reception will follow afterward. Tickets are $50 for chamber members and $65 for non-members, with SMU students admitted free with an RSVP. You can register here.
