Did you know Highland Park Village’s annual Gingerbread Stroll is listed on Livability as one of the top five gingerbread house contests in the country? Yeah! This year’s festivities start tomorrow and runs through Sunday, Nov. 30. Thirteen stores are participating this year, so you can bid on the delicious and beautiful concoctions to your heart’s content. All proceeds go to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

“The Gingerbread Stroll has become a wonderful tradition during the most wonderful time of the year,” founder Christine McKenny said. “Everyone loves a gingerbread house.”

Here are the stores participating: Beretta Gallery; Bistro 31; Carolina Herrera; Celebrity Café and Bakery; Cole Haan; Deno’s of Highland Park; Kiehl’s; Robert Talbott Carmel; Roberta Roller Rabbit; Scoop NYC; Stella McCartney; Trina Turk; Tom Thumb; and Village Barber Shop.

You can also enter to win giveaways such as a carriage ride for six from Threejays Carriages and overnight stays at the Four Seasons, the Mansion on Turtle Creek, and the Ritz-Carlton. Of course, you can always just purchase some good, ol’ fashioned, gingerbread cookies from Celebrity Bakery, and those proceeds will go to Scottish Rite as well.

Who’s making these mini masterpieces, you ask? Scottish Rite, Tom Thumb, Celebrity Bakery, and Chocolate Secrets are contributing. But so are pastry chefs from leading hotels such as the Four Seasons, the Hilton Anatole, the Hyatt Regency, the Omni, the Crescent, and the Ritz-Carlton, just to name a few.
