Does your child love video games, theater, cooking, or sports? Next Thursday, Highland Park High School students will have the chance to learn from professionals who pursued their passions through careers in science, technology, engineering, and math at the HPHS Science Festival.

Students have until tomorrow to visit http://hpscifest.com/ to preview the list of over 100 presentations and register for slots corresponding to their science or technology class periods.

This year’s speakers include the vice president of programs for the Perot Museum, the chief of cardiology at UT Southwestern, the creative director of the Center For Brain Health, the executive chef of the Royal Oaks Country Club, and the technical director of the Dallas Children’s Theater.

The ninth-annual festival is sponsored by the science and technology faculty and organized by parent volunteers. The committee running the festival is still looking for parent volunteers to escort the speakers. If you’re interested, please contact Kim Brannon at [email protected].
