Kershaw Returns to Scotland Yard Tonight
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher and former Highland Park standout Clayton Kershaw will return to where it all began tonight, appearing at Scotland Yard for a father-son event involving his charity, Kershaw’s Challenge.
“Challenge Up 2014” is a six-inning baseball game featuring boys from Armour Up, a Bible study group for kids in grades 4-7 that has grown to almost 400 boys in the past four years. Each kid will get a five-pitch at-bat with Kershaw on the mound (although a machine will throw the actual pitches), while their fathers are cheering in the stands.
As part of the evening, which begins at 6 p.m., each child will fill out a pledge card stating their passion, gift, or talent, and how it can be used to help others.
