Choir Fundraiser Has a Latin Flair
Are you hungry for the Highland Park regular-season football finale? Are you hungry for some Tex-Mex cuisine? The HPHS choir hopes you bring an appetite for both on Friday night.
The choir will hold its annual “fiesta fundraiser” on Friday prior to the Scots’ home football game against Richardson. The dinner, with food from Cantina Laredo, runs from 5 to 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria, or else there’s a take-out option from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the teacher parking lot on the northwest side of the school. Cost is $10.
There’s also a raffle, with tickets ranging from $5 each for gift baskets to $25 each for a chance at winning a Vespa or a Louis Vuitton purse.
The fundraiser, of course, helps to offset costs for the choir, including scholarships, transportation, concert accompanists, and the Lads and Lassies annual trip.
