Eight Highland Park High School choral members competed in the third round of the Texas All-State Choir auditions on Oct. 25.

The students have been practicing since this summer, preparing the assigned music pieces for the auditions. A total of 735 students competed at the district audition in September for TMEA Region 20. Of these students, only 80 will continue on Nov. 18 at the Pre-Area audition to be held at HPHS.

Making the All-State Choir is the highest honor a Texas choral student can receive. Superior rankings qualify them to be a part of the choir directed by nationally recognized conductors.
