ESD’s Fitts is Built Like a Truck
ESD quarterback Thomas Fitts was recently presented with a “Built Ford Tough High School Football Player of the Week” award for his efforts in in 48-18 win over Houston Christian on Oct. 2.
In that game, Fitts completed 31 of 45 passes for 459 yards and four touchdowns. He also plays lacrosse and sports a 3.3 grade-point average, and plans to attend college at USC next year.
“Thomas is the first to arrive every day, giving him time to watch film with me,” said ESD head coach Richard Williams. “And he’s the last to leave, taking extra time to throw to his receivers. He’s the most dedicated athlete I’ve ever coached. There’s no doubt about his leadership. He’s very vocal, jumping on slackers whenever necessary and holding teammates to the highest level. The players feed off his commitment, which is a big part of our success.”
