HP, Pearce Meet For 10-6A Volleyball Supremacy
While tonight’s football game might capture the attention of most fans, Highland Park and Richardson Pearce also will meet in a volleyball showdown tonight for the top spot in District 10-6A.
The 6 p.m. match will conclude the first round of the district schedule for both the Lady Scots (21-10, 6-0) and the Lady Mustangs (24-10, 6-0), who have already broken away from the pack in the standings. They will play again in the regular-season finale on Oct. 28 in Richardson, in a match that could have league title implications.
The teams met in late August at the PSA Lone Star Circle of Champions tournament in Plano, where Pearce won two of three sets behind Brianne Burkert, who has verbally committed to Florida State.
