Ski Champion to Speak at Ursuline Luncheon
Ursuline Academy will hold its fifth annual Lunch With a View on Friday at the Omni Dallas Hotel, featuring a keynote address from author and skiing champion Bonnie St. John.
As an amputee, St. John became the first African-American to win a skiing medal in 1984 when she earned three medals at the Paralympic Winter Games in Austria. She also is a Rhodes Scholar and former White House official whose latest book, How Great Women Lead, was written in tandem with her teenage daughter, Darcy, and focuses on the lives and careers of powerful women around the world.
The luncheon will begin at noon, with proceeds benefiting scholarship funds at the school. To register, call 469-232-3585.
