Home-Rule Commission to Host Public Meetings
A 15-member commission appointed by Dallas ISD has some decisions to make regarding the home-rule initiative. The commission will host two public meetings on Saturday to spark discussions and gather input for the future of Dallas schools.
The first meeting will be at W.T. White High School from 9 to 11 a.m. and the other at Hillcrest High School from 1 to 3 p.m.
The commission has a year to complete its draft for a proposed home-rule charter. Its implementation will then be voted on and its continuation would be contingent upon student performance.
