Bush Center Adds Two Countries to Outreach
The global health pillar of the George W. Bush Institute has been working to screen women in Zambia, Botswana, and Tanzania for cervical cancer for the past three years. Today, the center announced that its Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon program will now reach out to women in Ethiopia and Namibia as well.
The program is under the leadership of Dr. Eric Bing and others, and partners with Susan G. Komen, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), and the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in order to provide the screenings.
Our congratulations go out to the entire global health team on their continued work to fight HIV/AIDS.
