Police Report: June 16 to June 22
SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: Coyote Ugly
At 11:44 a.m. on June 16, a resident of the 3500 block of Potomac Avenue called police after two people had their fingers bitten by a wild coyote pup trapped in a cage in Hunt County. Both victims tried to touch the coyote through the cage, one after it was trapped and the other while it was in the back of a car. Neither injury required medical attention. The coyote was taken to a veterinary clinic and euthanized, with the remains sent to Austin via bus for examination by the state health department.
HIGHLAND PARK
16 MONDAY
At 1:30 p.m., Alexander David Wells of Dallas was arrested atHighland Park Town Hall on a charge of possession of marijuana.
17 TUESDAY
At 11 a.m., Celina Jeannette Delacruz, 28, of Richardson was arrested in the 4600 block of Arcady Avenue on four charges, including possession of a controlled substance, plus seven outstanding warrants.
At 9:26 p.m., Shawn McMillen, 46, of University Park was arrested in the 3900 block of Armstrong Avenue on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
UNIVERSITY PARK
17 TUESDAY
Between 8 and 8:05 a.m., a thief stole a $200 Kate Spade wallet containing $100 in cash from an unlocked white 2011 GMC Yukon at Christ Lutheran Church in the 3000 block of Lovers Lane.
At 2:23 p.m., a Dallas woman reported that about 5 p.m. on June 13, a thief stole her $100 wallet containing $217 in cash off a counter at the CVS store in Park Cities Plaza.
18 WEDNESDAY
At 9:59 p.m., John Byron Beare, 18, of Dallas was arrested in the4100 block of McFarlin Boulevard on charges of public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia.
19 THURSDAY
Between 8:17 and 9 p.m., an 18-wheeler struck a red 2007 Dodge Caliber in the 3400 block of Rankin Avenue, but did not stop to exchange information.
20 FRIDAY
Between 12:15 and 5:49 p.m., a vandal caused $4,000 worth of damage to a black 2014 Honda Accord in the 4500 block of Normandy Avenue.
21 SATURDAY
At 12:20 p.m., a thief stole a $150 copper downspout from a house in the 3100 block of Rosedale Avenue, and fled in a gray Chrysler or Dodge sedan.
22 SUNDAY
At 4:25 a.m., Hunter Hayden, 21, of University Park was arrested in the 3400 block of Milton Avenue on a public intoxication charge.
