Kershaw Throws a No-No
Congratulations to former Highland Park standout Clayton Kershaw, who tossed his first career no-hitter last night as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Colorado Rockies 8-0 at Dodger Stadium.
Kershaw allowed just one base runner, which came on an error in the seventh inning, and struck out a career-high 15 hitters.
Of course, he’s also the reigning National League Cy Young Award winner and has posted the lowest earned-run average in the league for three straight years. So last night’s accomplishment was only a matter of time.
