Orr Named Grand Marshal For ‘Fourth’ Parade
If you’re like us, you’re gearing up for the Rotary Club of Park Cities’ annual Fourth of July Parade. Man, oh man, are we ready. You know who else is ready? Dawson Orr, superintendent of Highland Park ISD.
Why? Because the Rotary Club has chosen him to act as grand marshal. It’s their way of honoring the district’s upcoming centennial.
“For 100 years, Highland Park schools have set the bar for educational excellence and uncompromising standards,” Rotary Club of Park Cities president Cleve Clinton said in a statement. “It is a privilege to recognize the anniversary of our school district by honoring Dawson Orr.”
You know the drill: starts on Euclid Avenue at 9 a.m., ends at Goar Park with fun for all. Don’t miss it.
