Screening Puts Arthritis in the Spotlight
Lee and Margaret Jackson of Preston Hollow are hosting a screening of the new movie Words and Pictures on Sunday that they hope will generate more awareness of rheumatoid arthritis. Margaret Jackson serves as board chair of the Arthritis Foundation South Central Region.
The film stars Oscar-winner Juliette Binoche as an art teacher and abstract painter suffering from the disease, who meets a prep-school English teacher (Clive Owen) who has a way with words — thus the title.
The 4:45 p.m. screening at Landmark’s Magnolia Theatre also will include an conversation with Gary Cogill, a former local critic and all-around good guy who is one of the film’s producers. For reservation information, contact Shelley Tims at 214-818-0351 or [email protected].
