Capers For Kids Camp Starts Next Week

One of the highlights of summers when I was a kid was my time spent at Capers For Kids camp. It was the perfect camp for someone who was a bit shy, but loved theater and loved art. As I played, I learned how to speak in front of crowds, how to work a light board, how to tie-dye shirts, make transfer prints, sculpt clay, and use my imagination to a creative and productive end.

For the past nine years, Capers for Kids has been holding some of its camps for elementary-aged students at the Alcuin School. This year’s first session starts next Monday and runs through June 20. The second session runs July 7-18. As of the end of last week there were still positions available, but they are limited, so if you’re interested contact Amanda Sampica at (972) 239-1745, ex. 277.
