Alcuin School Hosts Head-Shaving Event
Dozens of Alcuin School students, faculty and staff will shave their heads tomorrow in an effort to support a fellow classmate with cancer and raise money for childhood cancer research.
Alcuin School hopes to reach its goal of $30,000 at the event, which will benefit The St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Middle school student Gregory Yared and his mother, Cindy, presented the idea to administrators as a way to get the school community involved on a personal level.
Attendees can participate by shaving their heads, volunteering at the event or simply donating money. Contact Bunny Ridenour at (972) 239-1745, or click here to donate.
