Congratulations to Highland Park High School alum Chris Hipps, who won his second NCAA lacrosse title on Monday when Duke defeated Notre Dame 11-9 in the national championship game in Baltimore.

The former Scots standout started every game as a senior on defense for the Blue Devils over the course of the last two seasons, both of which ended with titles. His first two years at Duke concluded with losses in the national semifinals.

He finished with two goals in his four-year career, but more importantly, has been one of the top defenders in the ACC. He also graduated with a history degree earlier this month.

UPDATE: The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Hipps is considering a transfer to SMU next year to play football, another sport in which he starred at HPHS.
