Church Offers Grief Support For Kids
Good Shepherd Episcopal Church is starting a grief support group on Thursday that is specifically geared toward teenagers and children dealing with the death of a loved one. The six-week program is a collaboration between the church and the Grief & Loss Center of North Texas. Catherine Miller, Good Shepherd’s director of pastoral programs, told me in an email that the group will not follow a faith-based curriculum; it’s open to all young people who are grieving. If you click the first link in this post, you’ll see the church also offers support groups for adults mourning spouses or children.
