Alameel Pulls Off Quite a Comeback
Two years ago, Preston Hollow resident David Alameel spent a ton of money in his bid for a newly created U.S. House seat, yet he finished fourth in a 11-person race for the Democratic nomination.
But this fall, Alameel will most likely face off against U.S. Sen. John Cornyn in a statewide campaign. He finished first in yesterday’s five-way Democratic primary, capturing 47 percent of the vote. And his opponent in the May 27 runoff, Kesha Rogers, is a conspiracy theorist who has reportedly been disavowed by her own party because she wants to impeach President Obama. Good luck with all that.
