Highland Park Village Remains All Lit Up
My wife and I were in Highland Park Village last night — for the first time since Christmas — and I couldn’t help but notice that all of the trees are still lit up. So I asked Village spokeswoman Kersten Rettig what the deal was; are the lights not being taken down after New Year’s anymore?
“We do remove them, but since it’s been so cold, and February is a romantic month, Ray and Heather [Washburne] want them left on until the end of the month,” Rettig said. “It’s so beautiful.”
Indeed.
Good choice!
If they leave them up year round I will come spend money there more than once a quarter.
Please leave them up year round!! It’s magical!
I give Kersten the credit.
Please leave them up, it’s romantic. I bet sales stay up
Speaking of the Village, is Patrizios over? Took a group there Sunday night and the joint was empty. Host told us they had a thirty minute wait.Decided to head to the Bistro. Rumors are that they are out. Kind of a said that for a place with so many fond memories to go out with a wimper. The host clearly could not explain the wait in an empty.
It looked like all of the help had bailed and the manager was in the kitchen cooking. Too bad. Our kids used walk there from our house to get dinner and every one loved it.
yeah it started to get a little bar stench at the end but for the most part good eats, drinks and service. great place to hunker down in an HP ice storm when you got no elec. Just hope Steve and Ray dont put in another PADA,
Prada. my typing sucks. Ps how long anyone(which we are huge fans of) give Tom Thumb and Cafe Pacific?
