Saturday is Your Chance to Meet the Scots
With the start of the season just a few weeks away, the Highland Park baseball team is eager to showcase its diamond prowess for the general public.
On Saturday, the team will host its annual Meet the Scots day at Scotland Yard, which will include a scrimmage and player autographs, as well as a silent auction. Concessions and T-shirts also will be available for purchase, with the festivities set to begin at 10:30 a.m.
The Scots began practice last week, in accordance with UIL guidelines, and will hold their first scrimmage on Feb. 3 at McKinney Boyd. The regular season is scheduled to start on Feb. 20 at a tournament in Leander.
