Who Wants to Rule The Park Cities?
If you’d like to serve on the Highland Park Town Council, the University Park City Council, or the Highland Park ISD Board of Trustees, you need to get your paperwork in order. Wednesday is the first day a candidate can file to get a spot on the May 10 ballot; the final day of the filing period is Feb. 28.
In Highland Park, all six seats on the Town Council are up for grabs, including the mayor’s. The same goes for University Park, where the City Council has five members, including the mayor. But in Highland Park ISD, only two of the seven seats — the ones held by Sam Dalton and Joe Taylor — will be on the ballot.
