Bank Gives $25K to New Friends New Life
New Friends New Life, the nonprofit that helps rescue and restore trafficked teen girls and sexually exploited women, had to cancel its annual home tour due to the ice storm in December. To make up for the lost fundraising opportunity, Union Bank has given the organization a check for $25,000.
“We are so grateful to Union Bank for their generosity,” said Park Cities resident Katie Pedigo, executive director of New Friends New Life. “Because of this gift, we are able to continue our mission to help transform the lives of women and their children in our community.”
Todd Gregory, an executive vice president with Union Bank, said his company was introduced to New Friends New Life — whose supporters toured some of Dallas’ seedier sites last week — through the Crystal Charity Ball organization.
“When we learned the NFNL had to cancel their annual fundraiser, we wanted to find a way to fill that funding gap and help them meet their financial goals,” Gregory said. “NFNL provides a valuable and necessary service that we’re pleased to support.”
AWESOME! Congrats to NFNL, thank you to Union Bank for this donation and thanks for Crystal Charity Ball for giving organizations such as NFNL a platform to gain greater awareness.
