Scots Baseball Club Seeks 7U Players
The Scots Baseball Club, a nonprofit organization for select baseball players from the Park Cities, will host an “indoor coaches’ look” this weekend for 7U boys. (That means the boys can’t turn 8 years old before May 1.) The event is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at The Sportsplex at Valley View.
Coach Jeremy Hughes said this will be the club’s first foray into this age group, but he feels it’s a necessary expansion.
“Being able to compete with the other local cities in a coach-pitch environment, who have been doing these types of programs starting at 5 years old, will be a huge benefit not only for our baseball youth but also our community.”
