Shoplifters Celebrate New Year at NorthPark
The New Year’s holiday was a busy time for security personnel, loss-prevention employees and police officers working at NorthPark Center, with shoplifting incidents hitting the department stores especially hard. Even two teachers were among those arrested in connection with separate incidents.
At any rate, we’ll have the rest of the week’s crimes up on the blog soon, but this is a sampling of what thieves were up to during a two-day period at NorthPark last week. Hopefully order has been restored now that the holidays are behind us.

At 5:50 p.m., two thieves were caught on surveillance cameras removing tags from clothing items at Dillard’s, then placing them on other higher-priced items.
