Elizabeth Henson & Travis Hutt
Elizabeth Butler Henson and Travis Jackson Hutt exchanged wedding vows Saturday, Sept. 28, at University Park United Methodist Church. Pastor Neil Moseley, minister to youth and families at the church, officiated. A reception of dining and dancing at The Room on Main followed, featuring appetizers and full buffet. Dance music was provided by the London Calling band from Austin. A festive rehearsal dinner, hosted by the parents of the groom, was held on the spacious garden patio at Saint Ann Restaurant and Bar on the eve of the wedding.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Henson of Abilene, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Grady Barr and the late Mrs. Barr of Abilene and the late Mr. And Mrs. Howard Pollock, also of Abilene.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hutt of Dallas, formerly of University Park. He is the grandson of Ms. Marlene Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hall, Mrs. Jack Hutt, and the late Mr. Hutt, all from Maryville, Mo.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She was escorted down the aisle on the arm of her father. Elizabeth chose a couture, trumpet-style gown, designed by Rivini for Stanley Korshak. The dress was fitted silk organza accented by scalloped Alencon lace panels. A crystal-frosted sash emphasized the bride’s natural waist. Her “something borrowed” was her older sister’s Alencon lace, cathedral-length veil. In honor of the bride’s late grandmothers, she carried a handkerchief and blue broach attached to her bouquet. To complete the ensemble, the bride wore silver, strappy Jimmy Choo footwear.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Lexi Henson Alexander, of Abilene. Bridesmaids included Ashlee Schertz of Sanger, Texas; Kelsey Haley of Canton, Ohio; Christin McClain of Abilene; Ketrin Rector of Austin, Texas; Keegan Etheredge of Sanger; Lindsey Shoulders of Denver, Colo.; and Rachael Harris of Brady, Texas. Members of the house party were Maggye Jordan of Abilene, Madeline Jordan of Abilene, and Kimberly Bowness of Dallas, who also served as scripture readers.
Assisting the groom as best men were his brothers, Tyler Hutt and Tanner Hutt of Dallas. Groomsmen included Preston Perry of Dallas, Barton Irby of Dallas, Holden Jacoby of Brady, Stratton Haley of Canton, Justin Toon of Dallas, and Taylor Tomlin of Boerne, Texas. Ushers were Jamie Nolan of Dallas, John Foose of Dallas, Trey Horkey of Oklahoma City, John Shaw of Dallas, and Jake Young of Dallas.
