ESD Lineman Has Busy Postseason Calendar
Marshall Lefferts looks like an offensive lineman, with his 6-foot-4, 310-pound frame.
But the Highland Park resident and Episcopal School of Dallas senior has the skill to go with his size, which is why he has a full slate of all-star games lined up this winter. He played in the Tom Hillary All-Star Classic for private-school seniors in the Dallas-Fort Worth area last weekend, where he helped lead his team to a victory.
On Sunday night, he will compete in the Blue-Grey Football All-American Game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, which features two teams of top college recruits from around the country. He will be part of the West roster along with standouts from Texas, Arizona, California, Utah, Louisiana, Nevada, and Hawaii.
Lefferts also has been chosen for the under-18 squad for Team USA, which will compete against Team Canada in February at UT-Arlington.
By the way, he’s also one of a set of triplets, with sisters who attend Hockaday and Parish Episcopal. And they all speak fluent French. C’est bon!
I may have missed it, but where is Marshall headed to college?
Shouldn’t the rosters of a blue-gray game be north vs. south instead of east vs. west?
Marshall has committed to play for Penn State University and will be at summer school at State College to begin workouts with the team.
