Scots Stay Hot to Start Season
The fast start to the boys basketball season for Highland Park continued on Tuesday with a 66-52 win over Jesuit.
It was the first road game of the season for the Scots (5-0), who pulled away in the fourth quarter. Clayton Murtha scored 20 points to lead the way, while Derek Cahn added 16.
HP entered the game off a win in the annual season-opening Scot Classic on its home court, where the Scots swept all four of their games by double-digit margins. In the tournament, the Scots scored victories over Ennis, Midlothian, Lake Highlands and TCA-Addison.
HP will face perhaps its toughest test so far on Friday, when it takes on South Oak Cliff at Ellis Davis Field House. The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
