Frisco Centennial rallied for a 22-25, 25-20, 29-27, 25-22 win to hand the Highland Park volleyball team its second straight third-round playoff exit on Tuesday night at Plano East. The Lady Scots finished 38-8.

“I’m very pleased with the effort,” Lady Scots head coach Michael Dearman said. “The girls never gave up. We had our chances, but we did make a few too many errors. That’s unfortunate. When you get to this level, you can’t make that many errors. It was just enough to give them the edge. Centennial played well — they deserve it. It’s just disappointing.”

Highland Park won 15 straight matches, including sweeps in all of its District 10-4A matches, before losing to Pearce in a playoff warm-up game. The Lady Scots, who lost to Frisco in last year’s regional quarterfinals, then beat Frisco Heritage in four in bi-district and swept Samuell, 25-7, 25-11, 25-6, in area last Friday night.
