Scary Times in Preston Hollow

Last Friday evening, a gunman wearing a ski mask followed a resident of the 6000 block of Mimosa Lane home from a grocery store. He stole her $60 Samsung phone, $18 in cash, a $15 grey and pink satchel, a Social Security card, a Texas driver’s license, a debit card, and a food stamp card.

Meanwhile, between 3:47 and 4:05 a.m. on Sunday, a resident of Winding Lake Drive awoke to someone standing in his bedroom. He called out, but there was no answer. He thought it might have been his son, but he checked on his son, who was sleeping. His wife told him he must have been dreaming, so he went back to sleep.

Later that day, the man’s wife found an open gate next to the house, which prompted the man to watch the footage from his surveillance cameras. Video showed the intruder entering the home through an unlocked kitchen door and walking around inside and on the property for 18 minutes, before leaving without taking anything. His face was covered by a hoodie.
