SMU is still the *fallback school for those with a dearth of intelligence and abundance of funds, no? I would say incredibly slim chance this is happening.

*Not saying in any way that SMU does not offer a great education or have some of the brightest students; just that they have a history of letting in anyone that can afford.

@Avid Reader – I can hold my thoughts no longer. Your comment yesterday about “silly expensive items” and now this? I have read your comments through the years and find them the height of snarkiness. We are all free to express our opinions though. I just find yours more unlikeable than most.

Does SMU offer a nursing degree? Because dancer I’ve met was in nursing school.

Now your opening a can of worms. And let’s not be sexist about this subject. As an SMU alumni and former member of the greek community I can say that in the 80’s, some male students had “Sugar Daddies” that supplied those imported cars and spring breaks to Europe. An average of two per fraternity was the norm. And back then, SMU was NOT a fallback school!

@Wow-Thank you for your polite critique. Totally agree that a lot of my comments are very snarky. In yesterday’s comment you mention, I used the word silly not to describe the items as silly themselves or silly to own/buy, but that they are “silly expensive”. Probably should have used a hyphen. Are $20,000 earings, $2,500 purse, $2,000 purse, $800 wallet not very expensive items? Does SMU not have a very well off student population and lax admissions?

I agree with the “silly expensive” comment. I do OK, and I could never understand the need to pay those kind of prices for some items. To each their own, I suppose, and it certainly doesn’t impact me, but then, take better care of your stuff.
