Tara Bukosky & Mark Oneacre
Tara Lynn Bukosky and Mark Andrew Oneacre were united in Holy Matrimony on April 20, 2013, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas. Their nuptials were officiated by Monsignor Donald F. Zimmerman. The bride entered the church to the strains of “Trumpet Voluntary,” accompanied by timpani drums. The Dallas Symphony Orchestra vocalists performed ceremony selections, alongside a symphony string quartet.
A reception followed at the historic Arlington Hall at Lee Park in Turtle Creek, the site where Mark proposed a year ago. Guests were welcomed with champagne and canapés and entertained by a live “Frank Sinatra” talent who sang the crooner’s most memorable tunes on the original front porch of the home. Next, a trumpet summoned guests into Arlington Hall, elegant with its 1950s glamour and cut-crystal vases of fragrant cherry blossoms, for a Southern-style grand buffet including shrimp and grits, crawfish étouffée, and fried green tomatoes (a nod to the couple’s time spent in New Orleans during their courtship).
The lively guests were entertained for the rest of the evening by the 10-piece Jimmy Church Band of Nashville, Tenn., who introduced the newlyweds and rocked the crowd with tunes by the Jackson 5, Tina Turner, other Motown artists, and the Black Eyed Peas until the couple’s 1 a.m. sparkler-lit departure into a 1960 vintage white Bentley. As they were leaving, guests received parting gifts of monogrammed shamrock cookies with a touching note: “May you stay lucky in love as the day we met, St. Patrick’s Day 2007.”
On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Marie Gabriel, which began with a cocktail reception in the Gabriel Gardens, where a live string quartet played for family and friends. The bride wore “The Hayley,” designed by Carolina Herrera -— a silk mikado cocktail dress with full party skirt, pockets, and top-stitching — to the rehearsal dinner. This was purchased at Carolina Herrera in Highland Park Village. Parents of the bride then hosted an “after dinner” welcome party for all out-of-town guests on the Sheppard King Terrace at the Mansion on Turtle Creek.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael W. Bukosky of Temple, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dalmas, Mr. Francis Glushefski, and the late Mrs. Geraldine Glushefski, all of northeastern Pennsylvania.
The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Lee Parsons Oneacre of Preston Hollow. He is the grandson of Mrs. Russell Morrison Sage of Dallas, the late Mr. Russell Morrison Sage, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leland Elwood Oneacre.
Presented in marriage by her parents and escorted down the aisle on the arm of her father, the bride wore an Ines di Santo couture cameo gown, with sweetheart neckline and beaded-point d’Alencon-lace appliqué at bodice and hemline. Its mermaid silhouette was adorned with handmade and handpainted silk roses with cascading petals and accentuated by a detachable cathedral-length train. The bride completed her ensemble with a royal-length veil of gossamer sheer. The bride carried a bouquet of stephanotis and lilies of the valley, identical to one her mother carried on her wedding day, 37 years before. She also carried a gold and sapphire compact belonging to her maternal grandmother.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Brooke Ashley Bukosky of Dallas. Bridesmaids included Jennifer Leigh Stoltenberg of St. Paul, Minn.; Shannon Kyle Tropp of Virginia Beach, Va.; Jennifer Russo Samaha of Dallas; Regina Catherine Munson of Dallas; Lisa Marie Tranum of Dallas; and Cari Leigh Luetge of Houston.

The flower girls were the nieces of the groom, Beatrice Sage Burwell, Sage Marie Rockow, and Violet Jane Rockow.
