Boys Lacrosse Program Joins Dinner Lineup
Following in the footsteps of the Highland Park High School choir (Fiesta Dinner on Oct. 4) and the school’s cheerleaders and Scotsmen (Hamburger Supper on Oct. 25), the Highland Park boys lacrosse program has scheduled a fundraising dinner before a home football game.
“Crossed Sticks and Hat Tricks” will feature food donated by three Chick-fil-A locations: North Central Expressway at Southwestern Boulevard, Northwest Highway at Skillman Street, and Hillcrest Avenue at University Boulevard. All proceeds will benefit the Highland Park lacrosse program, which includes more than 50 teams of students in grades 1 through 12.
Tickets for the Sept. 13 dinner are $8. They can be purchased from any high school lacrosse player or at highlandparklacrosse.org. Attendees will get to meet players and coaches, spin a prize wheel, take a picture with a Chick-fil-A cow, and see the Wall of Champions that spotlights HPHS alumni playing college lacrosse. There will also be a drawing to award a year’s worth of Chick-fil-A to one Bridge Lacrosse player. [Furiously signing up my son for a Bridge Lacrosse team.]
Don’t forget BBQ with the Band – October 11th. That’s the Blue Out game, too. So buy your t-shirts!
I intend to publish a roundup of all such fundraisers in our football preview section, which will be included in the Aug. 30 edition of Park Cities People.
