Former Mayor Removed From Westcott Supporters Online

His campaign for Dan Branch’s District 108 seat isn’t official yet, but Chart Westcott has already garnered a number of illustrious supporters. Previously, former Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert was listed as one online. But as of Tuesday afternoon, his name has disappeared. Why the change? We’ve got calls in to Westcott’s office and hope to have an update soon.

UPDATE (3:20 p.m.): “I had a verbal confirmation with Tom that he was supporting me, but I sort of have a process which we go through over here before we list one on the website, and Tom had not gone through that process,” Westcott said.

How is this news? Why do you keep writing about a political campaign that occurs NEXT year, when we have a water election this coming November that proposes to spend BILLIONS of Texas tax dollars. How many articles can you write on this for chrissakes? Don’t you have any other ideas in your head little girl?

Kind of reminds me when Don Henley sung “We got the bubble-headed-bleach-blonde who comes on at five, she can tell you ’bout the plane crash with a gleam In her eye, It’s interesting when people die- Give us dirty laundry.”

Sorry little girl, this laundry ain’t dirty, but those billions of water dollars are bound to be. Get to work writing about stuff that matters.

Hey Aaron, I mean little boy (pun intended) – this is a blog not a full newspaper website. Sarah may report on whatever she/the paper wants and news items that involve the community. Just because something is of vast importance to you doesn’t make her article less valuable to others. Get off your high horse and relax.

@Aaron Thomas, “Little girl”….Really? Really? There is an answer to why this is news and the Park Cities People reporters are not writing stories about the water election, but you don’t deserve an answer.

I agree with Aaron (I’ll just say it nicer). It’s boring. Move on to another topic. SMU is about to have 12,000 kids invading Park Cities. Traffic will soon be horrible again. Write about that.

Guess they didn’t include the article on SMU traffic/parking that PC People wrote last week in the chart campaign employee packet.

Yes, this is a not a big earth shattering article, there are lots of those that typically get no comments. The lad[ies] juanita/aaron doth protest too much, methinks.

Maybe not a story but potentially a big one. Someone running on ethics and values and everything else conservative may have lied about a former mayor supporting him. The follow-up is did Leppert give a verbal confirmation and can this be confirmed. If Chart has a process, why was the former mayor on the site in the first place? And are there others who are “supporters” who have not agreed to be. HP Seriosuly . . .

I sort of have a process where I kind of don’t vote for 28 year old daddy’s boys…

Fun fact to lighten the mood: Don Henley was once a Park Cities People subscriber. He may still be, for all I know.

@Dan Koller, Love fun facts. I vote for there to be a fun fact of the day post (obvi related to PC if possible, but still fun if not). And bring back the Caption Contest while you are at it!

Who is Don Henley supporting for District 108? That’s the news I want to know. We need someone who will move this district a little of left of “hard right.”

Chart, don’t worry about all this craziness. You still have the best hair and the most rehearsed smile! You know you’ve got my support girlfriend! Snap!

Hmmmmm. Chart story is changing by the hour. He told D Magazine a different story.

Advice to young Master Chart — put down the shovel. The hole is already deep enough.

Daddy! Why are you letting this happen! You promised me I wouldn’t have to talk to anybody, and you would take care of everything. I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!
