Kershaw Cool With Harvery Starting For NL
Although he has every right to be the National League starter in next week’s Major League Baseball All-Star Game at New York’s Citi Field, former Scot Clayton Kershaw is just fine with Mets pitcher Matt Harvey getting the nod over him, although that decision hasn’t been announced yet by NL manager Bruce Bochy.
Kershaw, who will be making his third straight all-star game appearance, is 8-5 with 129 strikeouts and an MLB-best 1.89. Harvey is 7-2 with a 2.27 ERA and 141 strikeouts. However, Kershaw understands how big it would be for Harvey to get the start in his home park.
