Can we find out why the field is being replaced and who is paying for it? I hope the sports clubs are taking care of this since they are the only ones that use it.
I’d imagine they’re replacing it with better turf. The softball field has a nicer version than what was on the football field where the little black pellets would stick to everything. Also the type the softball field has doesn’t heat up as quickly, which would obviously be a benefit in August and September.
They raised the Personal Seat License fees for fiotball season tickets to help pay for this. The letter stated that the turf has worn out more quickly than its projected 10 year life because of heavy use.
