Maid Steals Chain, Tells Owner She Might Return it
Between 4:30 and 8:15 p.m. on May 13, a thief stole a $200 wallet containing $5 cash, a driver’s license, a health-insurance card, and a credit card from a purse in an office in Inwood Village.
Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on May 14, a thief stole a $400 wallet containing $100 cash, three insurance cards, and several ID and credit cards, as well as a $100 Sony camera from Episcopal School of Dallas.
Between 10 and 10:15 a.m. on May 15, a burglar broke into a gray 2011 Toyota SUV at NorthPark Presbyterian Church and stole a $40 yellow-and-white vinyl bag containing a $3,000 Panasonic laptop, a $100 black leather organizer, and a $40 wallet containing $60 cash, six credit cards, and a driver’s license.

After 10 p.m. on May 15, a burglar broke into Subway in the 9600 block of North Central Expressway and stole $29.54.
At 2 p.m. on May 16, a resident of the 6500 block of Del Norte Lane reported that he saw his maid take a $100 12-inch gold chain from his dresser one day earlier. The resident believed the maid would return the chain after he paid her, but she refused to relinquish the item when asked. When he called to request his chain, she told him she might return it the following week.
At around 4:34 a.m. on May 17, a burglar used a large rock to smash the window at Ulta Beauty in Preston Forest Village before stealing $6,000 worth of designer perfumes and colognes.
At 12:30 a.m. on May 18, an armed robber entered a gray 2013 BMW sedan in the 6100 block of West Northwest Highway and placed his gun to the victim’s head, instructing her to drive. The victim crashed her car, and the gunman fled with her Kate Spade wallet containing $10 cash, four credit cards, and a driver’s license.
