Thomas Jefferson Alumni to be Honored Today
Thomas Jefferson High School’s Distinguished Alumni awards ceremony is at 3:30 p.m. this afternoon on campus.
Businessman Ryhs Best, retired Marine Colonel Hart Dinkins, and WFAA anchor Cynthia Izaguirre are among the alumni honorees. Drill-team sponsor Alice Davenport — who was led the team for the last 29 years — will get the Distinguished Service award.
Presenters at today’s event include former city manager Jan Hart Black; Zachary Thompson, director of Dallas County Health and Human Services, retired Admiral Patrick Walsh, and former T.J. principal Edwina Brown.
