Stegall – Badgett
Emerson Ross Badgett and Tamra Emerald Sirena Stegall are pleased to announce their engagement. The groom is the son of Margaret Majors Badgett and the late William Ross Badgett IV of Dallas. The bride is the daughter of Margaret Lynn Stegall of Fulton, Miss. She is also the daughter of Timothy Ray Ganey of Winfield, Ala.
Tamra is the granddaughter of Margaret Lundy, Richard Stegall, Bonnie Ganey, and the late Charles Ganey. She is a Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude graduate of the University of the South, attended the University of Toulouse, France, and received two bachelor’s degrees in French and one in English. She is employed as the French teacher at Lakehill Preparatory School.
Ross is the grandson of the late John A. Majors Jr. and the late Margaret Jalonick Majors. He is also the grandson of the late William Ross Badgett III, the late Mary Elizabeth Badgett Emerson, and the late Walter Caruth Emerson. He is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of the South where he received his B.A. in religion with a minor in Latin. Ross is employed at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church as the manager of electronic communications.
The joyous couple has chosen a late September wedding to be held in Sewanee, Tenn.
